mark cormier

Sports Psychology & Educational Counselor, M.A., PSC

Mark holds a Master’s Degree in Sports and Exercise Psychology and Bachelor’s Degrees in Social Science and Kinesiology. He is currently a Doctoral Student/PhD Candidate focusing on Psychology with an emphasis on Performance Psychology. As a former Division 1 collegiate athlete in Track and Field also as a collegiate baseball player, Mark understands the demands and pressures that come with sports and exercise. After college, he pursued a career in education as a coach for football and track & field, where he developed a passion for helping athletes achieve peak performance and personal goals. He excelled in guiding his athletes and students in managing the mental and emotional challenges associated with sports. Mark later transitioned to full-time counseling as a professional school counselor, applying the techniques he used with athletes to support non-athletes as well. His background in coaching and counseling provides him with a unique insight into the experiences of athletes, coaches, students and their families. Mark is dedicated to helping you navigate the mental challenges of sports, athletics, and exercise. His mission is to maximize your potential and give you the mental edge needed for peak performance.

  • Current Doctoral Student/PhD Candidate

  • Master’s Degree in Sports-Exercise Psychology​

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science

  • Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP)

  • Certified Professional School Counselor (PSC)
